Air-India Express (AIE) is planning to expand its services by introducing flights to Kuwait from Kerala, Mangalore and Ahmedabad and to Dubai from Goa, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. Flights will also be launched to Dhaka from Kolkata. Being a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Aviation Company of India Ltd., (NACIL), AIE has made remarkable progress in terms of fleet, network expansion and number of passengers carried, since its inception three years ago on April 29, 2005. Besides lower fares, an important feature of AIE is the Internet-based reservations system, which is very customer-friendly and allows passengers to make reservations as per their convenience either from home, office or through appointed travel agents. Passengers also have access to fares and availability of seats online, which makes it an extremely transparent system |
