Magic Holidays, a Timeshare product from the Mumbai-based Panoramic Group, plans to open a 15-key resort in Todgarh near Ajmer, Rajasthan. The resort, currently undergoing refurbishment, is expected to be fully operational by June this year. Magic Holidays are into providing affordable holiday options to their customers. It currently owns 21 properties in India and nine abroad. In addition they have a tie-up with Resort Condominium International (RCI).
Speaking to TravelBiz Monitor, Hitesh Kshatriya, COO, Panoramic Group, said, "The resort opening at Ajmer is part of our expansion plan. Besides that we have plans to acquire 15 properties by 2014. In five years, we are planning to add 100 properties (including abroad) to our portfolio. This include popular destinations among Indian travellers like Bali, Singapore and even Dubai in abroad."
In India, Magic Holidays is planning to have its presence in states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttranchal, Jammu, Coastal Karnataka, Mangalore, Kerala and Pondicherry. Kshatriya, added,"We are looking at average 25-30 keys in these places. We want to first create USP for our properties and, then penetrate in the market. If need be, we may also add 30-35 more keys later, depending upon the location and the demand."
Magic Holidays also launched an aggressive B2C advertising and marketing campaign in April 2013. According to Kshatriya, “The new campaign will help us get more visibility and reach out to more people in the market. The concept of a family vacation is something that is still very valued in India. However factors like rising airfare and hotel costs cause people to put their plans on hold. With a tool like timeshare holidays, we are positive about guaranteeing our customers with memorable holidays."
