The Turkish Tourism Board, in association with the Turkish Hoteliers Federation, will hold a five-city road show from November 19-23, 2012, during which they will meet travel agents in Mumbai (November 19), Bengaluru (November 20), Chennai (November 21), Hyderabad (November 22) and Delhi (November 23), The road shows will focus on Turkey’s Wedding, Golf and Honeymoon destinations.
Ozgur Ayturk, Culture and Tourism Counsellor, Turkish Embassy in India, said, “While Turkey has traditionally been famous for its cultural and historical destinations, the country today offers numerous leisure-and-pleasure options for modern tourists. Apart from locales for golf enthusiasts, the present road show will highlight matrimonial and honeymoon destinations for people seeking to enjoy their early days of marital bliss.”
More than a dozen Turkish hotels will participate in the road show, said Osman Ayik, President, Turkish Hoteliers Federation. “Apart from its art, history and food, it is time tourists are acquainted with the other finer aspects of Turkish culture, which has moved along with modern times. The upcoming road show will fill that void by highlighting golf and matrimonial destinations that travellers would like to visit but are unaware about,” he said.
The road show in Mumbai will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel, while that at Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi will be held at Taj West End Hotel, Taj Club House, Marriot Hotel, and The Lalit Hotel, respectively.
