Cox & Kings launches Indian leg of MasterChef Travel

Winner of MasterChef India 2010 accompanies Indian travellers to London
Cox & Kings Ltd., as part of its MasterChef Travel, recently organised a specially designed culinary-themed holiday to London along with Master Chef Pankaj Bhadouria, winner of Master Chef India 2010. The specially designed holiday offered an opportunity to discover local cuisine while explore interesting sights. With the winner of the food show, MasterChef and local culinary experts onboard, the tour has been designed to include a combination of cooking demonstrations, visits to attractions covering food and wine, as well as authentic cuisine preparations.

MasterChef Travel holidays, created by specialist travel experts, Cox & Kings Ltd., the world’s longest established travel company, include both multi-centre tours and shorter single-centre trips. Prior to the launch of the India leg of MasterChef Travel, where Indian travellers have been given the option to travel to exotic international locations with the contestants and winners of MasterChef India, the travel collection included tours to countries like China, Italy, India, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam from the operational centres of Cox & Kings in London, USA, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, along with contestants from the UK chapter of MasterChef.

According to Master Chef Bhadouria, “This is a great idea of blending culture and cuisine. For people who have interest in food, this would be an ideal platform to explore the hidden treasures of cuisine across international borders along with food experts.”

In its bid to promote MasterChef Travel and increase its popularity amongst India’s outbound traffic, a cooking competition was held amongst Indian travel enthusiasts who were present for the demonstration of Master Chef Bhadouria at a popular Indian restaurant in London, Apni Rasoi. “This is a very interesting concept and is going to be very popular with food enthusiasts who have interest in exploring culinary treasures across the globe,” said Rakesh Sharma, representing the restaurant.

The winner of the competition, who was adjudged by Master Chef Bhadouria, was rewarded with an all-expense-paid international holiday package for a couple. “I am very excited. This is a great concept of enjoying international holidays and at the same time getting to know more about their cuisine culture. I am happy to have won this special prize from the management of MasterChef Travel,” the winner said.
