Infiniti Live Aboard to conduct scuba diving at Andaman’s Barren Island from Feb-Apr

This February-April, Infiniti Live Aboard, a scuba diving live-aboard conducting diving adventures at the Andaman Islands, will organise scuba diving trips to the Barren Island. Confirming the same, Sunil Bakshi, Founder and CEO, Infiniti Live Aboard, said, “It is simply the most amazing diving in all of Andaman Islands, and certainly very unique among the world’s major diving destinations.”

Barren is a remote island, about 135 km from Port Blair. This island in
the middle of the ocean hosts the only active volcano in South Asia. While the island itself is interesting with the volcano consistently blowing ash and smoke, black sand beaches, and population of wild goats, the main attraction is the diving in the waters surrounding this remote island.

This remote, uninhabited island is accessible only via a live-aboard. Hence, until now, it was nearly impossible to experience diving here, as per a release. Infiniti Live Aboard has confirmed schedules for taking divers on this adventure.

Owing to the remoteness of the island and the topography, trips to Barren Island can only be undertaken for a short period between February and April. Infiniti has announced confirmed trips between these months, ranging from five nights to nine nights. Divers and travellers from USA, France, Spain, Slovenia, Italy, Russia, the UAE, Qatar, and India have already confirmed bookings for these trips.

A diving package for a five-night live-aboard trip to Barren Island on the Infiniti is priced at Rs 109,000, excluding tax, and includes twin-share accommodation on the Infiniti; all meals prepared in onboard kitchen; all diving with expert dive guides (including night dives); all day tea, coffee, water, and soft drinks; airport transfers at Port Blair; journey to Barren Island and other dive sites as per itinerary; a ’barbecue under the stars’ evening; onboard relaxation in the Infiniti’s lounges and decks; unlimited snorkeling; and use of scuba equipment and dive computers.

Amazing and completely off the track trip. Thought of taking this earlier, but the budget was too much for our group to handle. Later we took a game fishing experience in Sea horse around the shores of Barren island with experience andamans. It was within our scope. We kept wandering and fishing around these islands for almost 2 days. Later we took an advanced ssi course of Scuba diving in Havelock.
