VFS Global has launched two Visa Application Centres (VACs) for Vietnam in Chennai and Hyderabad. The VACs will provide easy access to Indian applicants and travel agents from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana, stated a release. This service would attract a nominal service fee, payable at the VAC at the time of submitting applications. The Centre will remain open from 0800hrs to 1500hrs.
Ton Sinh Thanh, Ambassador of Vietnam to India, said, “Facilitation of visa application for Indian citizens, especially who are living far from Delhi, is one of our priorities for 2015. At the beginning of this year, we authorised a VAC in Kolkata and now the two VACs; one in Hyderabad and the other in Chennai. These centres, however, do not replace the Embassy because all the applications will continue to be processed and issued by our Embassy. These centres will save time and money for Indian citizens from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana because they can apply for Vietnamese visa directly from Hyderabad or Chennai. In the same time, the Embassy has also reduced the time of processing and issuing visas. Altogether, these measures will certainly facilitate Indian travellers who want to come and visit our country.”
