VFS Global has recently won visa outsourcing contracts from the Government of the Netherlands and the Government of Denmark. Besides these two global contracts, the company has also been awarded country specific contracts such as for Germany in Ukraine, for Croatia in Russia, for India in the UK and for Italy in China – all in the space of the last few months.
As VFS Global continues to add new clients, it also simultaneously keeps expanding its operations globally. Recently, the company has launched its operations in Albania, Brazil and Germany, and now has operations across 89 countries.
The main focus of VFS Global has been on maintaining high levels of customer service and providing innovative solutions to its client governments. The company has been privileged to be associated with client governments worldwide who have shown their trust in the company’s ability to deliver and meet their expectations.
The recent launch of Mobile Biometric Clinics for UK visa applicants in Goa and a number of other locations around the world have been extremely well received. In addition, VFS Global has also recently developed a highly innovative service jointly with the Government of Finland for location independent electronic visa processing. In 2011 it launched its highly effective multi-mission-model biometrics solution. These are just a few of the recent service innovations which characterise the company’s approach to continual service and technological improvement. The company believes in leveraging technology to its fullest extent in the development of sophisticated solutions, which can be offered to its clients.
Under the global visa contract of the Netherlands, VFS Global has been awarded eight out of nine regions in the bid. The eight regions include Western and Eastern Europe, North and South America, South Asia and Oceania, Northern and Southern Africa and Middle East. These regions account for just over 86 per cent of the total application volume, at an initial total of nearly 300,000 per year. This contract initially offers the opportunity to set up Visa Application Centres (VACs) in 14 countries, with a view to expansion of the client network over the course of the contract.
The contract of the Denmark government offers the company the opportunity to serve the client in five out of eight regions. However, the total share of the contract awarded to the company is just over 90 per cent in terms of the total annual applicant volume of 102,000. VFS Global would initially process around 92,000 applications every year across these five regions.
Croatia has become the 44th client of VFS Global after it won the visa contract from the Embassy of Croatia in Russia with the expected annual application count of 150,000. The contract from the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine was recently awarded to the company for setting up VACs to process around 100,000 applications. VFS Global also won the contract from the High Commission of India (HCI) in the UK with the annual application counts around 600,000 and the contract from the Embassy of Italy in China.
The successes outlined above follow two strategically important global contracts won by VFS Global towards the end of 2012 – from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
The company was established in 2001 and has since grown into the world’s largest outsourcing and technology services specialist for diplomatic missions and governments worldwide with over 900 Visa Application Centres serving 44 sovereign governments in 89 countries worldwide. It has processed so far over 62 million applications. The company also pioneers in biometric solutions with nearly 14 million biometric enrolments in 56 countries for 13 client governments since 2007.
