Viva Voyages Plc to organise leadership meet Ayanaant on June 21, 2013 in New Delhi

The meeting for travel industry stakeholders will focus on tourism impact on environment
Viva Voyages Plc is set to organise Ayanaant, a leadership meet for travel industry stakeholders on June 21, 2013 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. This event will see industry experts coming together to share their views and experiences, and discuss trends and the way forward for the tourism industry. According to a release, Ayanaant is the first-of-its-kind initiative where business heads will come together under panels like MICE, cruise, Outbound Tourism, and online travel portals to discuss specific issues and trends.

The name of the meet, Ayanaant, "means 'Solstice' in Hindi. By inference it also denotes culmination. For us in the travel industry, both connotations are relevant...the longest day which denotes maximum energy and out- put, juxtaposed against its opposite number which brings in its wake the longest night for maximum revelry. Both signify the culmination of prosperity, progress and wellbeing. The 21st of June was an obvious choice, as it is the glorious day of the summer solstice, because it promises a high point," stated a release.

This meet is an endevour to make a positive contribution to the environment and society, added the release. Vikas Khanduri, Director, Viva Voyages Plc, said, "A natural by-product of our existence is the carbon dioxide we put into the air. The travel industry is probably the worst offender and although notable contributions are being made, the threat of global warming seems to be looming large. There are many simple steps we can take to distance our world from this doom, like planting trees. The simple act of planting a tree will absorb some of the carbon dioxide and help in the fight against climate change. We pledge to plant a tree for every delegate who attends the Meet and a 100 more."

The invitee and guest speakers list will include some of the trade stalwarts/ veterans who will give an insight into future trends based on the past years. The initiative is aimed at making trade partners understand market dynamics and what impacts the trends, share ideas, and discuss on this occasion, Outbound Tourism.
