AAI levies additional charge of Rs 887 on Haj pilgrims from Delhi embarkation point

According to a UNI report, the Airport Authority of India (AAI has levied an additional charge of Rs 887 (Rs 229 towards passenger service fee plus Rs 658 towards Saudi Departure tax) on every Haj pilgrim from Delhi embarkation point.

V S Kundu, Chief Executive Officer, Haryana State Haj Committee said that the above charges will be deducted out of 2,100 Saudi Riyal paid in cash to Haj pilgrims. He added that the Haj pilgrims from Haryana, who had not deposited their passports to Haryana State Haj Commiittee so far, were advised to send their passports directly to Haj Committee of India in Mumbai under intimation to Haryana State Haj Committee to avoid any delay in getting Visa.
