The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) in association with the state tourism boards in India is in the process of organising State Specialised Programme for its members. For the same, ADTOI has already written to the state tourism boards, as well as is seeking support from the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) for the programme. The programme will educate ADTOI members about the destinations, culture, sight seeing, hotels, packages, mode of transport etc. This information was divulged by Rakesh Lamba, President, ADTOI.
With this initiative, the Association intends to make eligible members and their team more confident in selling tourism products of different states in India. Currently, the Association is in the process of planning the syllabus and implementation strategies of the programme, after which the Association will request the state tourism boards to participate in the programme. Lamba also mentioned that the Association has been receiving good response from its members and the travel trade for participation in the upcoming ADTOI annual convention, which will be held from March 19-20, 2010 at the Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi. |
