The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) has selected “Domestic Tourism - The Foundation of Incredible India” as the theme for its annual national to be held on March 19 and 20, 2010 at Hotel Ashok in New Delhi. This development was divulged by Subhash Verma, Convention Chairman, ADTOI, who also informed that various business sessions are being planned for the convention. The sessions will discuss wide range of topics such as new initiatives by various states for growth and development of domestic tourism and opportunity for promotion of domestic tourism. According to Verma, the focus on Commonwealth Games 2010 in the capital will be substantial. The Association will also organise an exhibition which will witness the participation of large number of hoteliers, state tourism boards, tour operators, Global Distribution System companies and airlines.
Commenting on the theme Verma said, “There is a lot of marketing, advertising, promotion, publicity for the brand `Incredible India,’ targeted at foreign tourists but we also need to give due importance to domestic tourism, |
