After opening its chapters in Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala, the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) has opened its third chapter in Gujarat. Vipul Mittra, Secretary Tourism, Gujarat inaugurated the Gujarat chapter in Ahmedabad. The function was attended by Rajat Sawhney, Secretary, ADTOI; Mukesh Jagga, former President, ADTOI; PP Khanna, EC member, ADTOI, etc., as well as travel trade members from Gujarat. Bimal Mehta, Promoter, Travel Designer has been appointed as Chairman of the Gujarat chapter, and Ashok Dhoot, Proprietor, Harsh Travels has been appointed as the Secretary.
Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor, Mehta said, “The primary objective will be to increase the membership base of the Association in the state. Currently, ADTOI has 17 members in the state. While expanding the membership base, we will ensure the quality of membership as well.”
In his inaugural speech, Mittra said that Gujarat was late in realising the business potential of tourism. |
