Air India launches ‘free travel for spouse’ scheme on select domestic routes

According to a Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) report, Air India last month (December 31, 2008) introduced a new scheme called ‘free travel for spouse’ on domestic sectors on an Executive-class ticket. The Spouse scheme is effective from tomorrow till February 8, 2009. No fare or fuel surcharge will be payable on the free ticket. However, Passenger Service Fee (PSF) and User Development Fee (UDF), as charged by the airports will be collected.

The offer will be available on all flights on the extensive domestic network of Air India except : Mumbai-Goa, Delhi-Coimbatore, Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi-Kozhikode, Delhi-Kochi, Delhi-Bhubaneshwar, Delhi-Raipur, Delhi-Nagpur and Raipur-Nagpur and corresponding return sectors.
