| | Air India is undertaking an aggressive marketing strategy to enhance its market share, by launching a promotional scheme called ‘Winter Warmth’ for passengers travelling on its select domestic metro sectors effective today. The scheme is applicable for travel between Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai and also from these four metros to Bangalore/Hyderabad. The scheme is aimed at frequent flyers, and also envisages an award of one free return ticket of two coupons on the domestic network of Air India for those undertaking a minimum of eight flights on select sectors between today and February 5, 2009.
The award ticket will be issued for Economy Class to those who have undertaken their travel in either Economy Class or a mix of Economy and Business Class. However, in case of exclusive travel on Business Class the award ticket will be issued for Business Class. The Passenger Service Fee (PSF) on the award ticket will be borne by the passenger. No frequent flyer points will be accrued on the award ticket. The Award ticket authority will be valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
