Amari India renamed as Onyx Hospitality India

hailand-based hotel chain Onyx Hospitality Group, which was erstwhile called Amari Hotels has renamed its Indian subsidiary as Onyx Hospitality India (OHI). For its Indian operations the company recently formed a Joint Venture with Mandeep Lamba (former MD and Founder of Ten Hotels Pvt Ltd), who has been appointed as MD and CEO, Onyx Hospitality India. The company plans to introduce all its brands: Amari, Ozo and Saffron in the Indian market as opportunities arise. Of the three brands, Saffron is the luxury brand; Amari, the upscale brand and Ozo is the mid-market brand of the company.

OHI is bullish about the growth of Ozo brand in India and is looking for potential locations in secondary cities like Pune and Gurgaon besides the prime metro cities. “Our Amari brand does well in the Indian market and will especially be a good brand to enter the market with,” informed Peter Henley, President and CEO, Onyx Hospitality Group.
