| | Thailand-based hospitality management company, Amari, has joined hands with Mandeep S Lamba, Former Managing Director (MD) and Founder of Ten Hotels Pvt. Ltd., a hospitality management company, to form a Joint Venture (JV) company — Amari India — to pursue the brand’s expansion into the Indian market. Amari had announced its expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific markets including India last month. While Amari will hold the majority stake in the JV, Lamba will be the minority stake partner in Amari India. Amari India will be targeting 14 hotels by 2018 – with seven properties already operational and another seven at different stages of construction in India.
With Lamba currently joining as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer – Amari India, the entire office infrastructure, intellectual properties and staff of Ten Hotels has become a part of Amari India.
