| | With MICE sector being the major focus areas for the development of tourism in Hyderabad, the state government along with Andhra Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) will launch the much awaited 'Visit Hyderabad' by April 2010. Visit Hyderabad will be an autonomous body to promote Hyderabad as a MICE destination. The state tourism department along with hospitality players, airlines and travel service providers will be a part of this initiative.
Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor, Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, Tourism, Archaeology and Museums, Government of Andhra Pradesh mentioned, “We will be launching the initiative by April 2010 which will allow the city to focus more on MICE business. The autonomous body will look at promoting MICE business in different cities through various marketing initiatives.
