Kerala-based, Air Travel Enterprise (ATE) Group is slated to enter the day spa business through establishment of its subsidiary company, Ela World Spa Pvt. Ltd. The first day spa of Ela World Spa Pvt. Ltd. under the brand name, ‘Ela-The World Spa’ will open in Kochi on November 15, 2009.
Essentially, the day spa will have five different components – salon, gym, Ayurveda treatments, spa café offering health food and world therapies. The spa will offer more than 50 treatments in Ayurveda and world therapies in the price range of Rs 300 to Rs 4000. Ela World Spa Pvt. Ltd. will roll out 50 day spas across the country in the next three to four years targeting Tier II cities.
“The Tier II cities offer immense growth potential and there is a dire need to create spa culture in these cities. Hence, setting up day spa in those cities is a feasible option as against metro cities where the consumer is already exposed to the spa culture. We are open to stand-alone, as well as franchise models to set up the day spas. Kochi outlet will incur an investment of Rs two crore,” informed Zaheer Najeeb, Director, Ela World Spa Pvt. Ltd. |
