| | The annual convention of Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) Convention scheduled from January 16 to 18, 2009 at Dehradun in Uttarakhand will focus on conducting a green and carbon-free event. The theme of the three-day convention is ‘New face of Indian adventure travel’ and it will discuss issues relating to Adventure Tourism in India. The Government of Uttarakhand will host the convention with Madhya Pradesh as the partner state. The venue of the Convention will be announced next week as the Government of Uttarakhand is awaiting approval of the Ministry of Tourism (MoT). Around 200 delegates from all over the country are expected to attend the event. The convention next year is the first time ATOAI is holding outside Delhi.
