In Mumbai, jet fuel will now cost Rs 988 more at Rs 41,710 per kilolitre. In Kolkata, prices have increased by Rs 1,001 per kilolitre to Rs 48,681, while in Chennai the hike is Rs 1,033 to Rs 44,526 per kilolitre. The difference in fuel prices in cities is due to state taxes and differing costs of supply. Earlier this month, the oil firms increased jet fuel prices by over nine per cent. |
