| | Bangkok-based Full Service Carrier, Bangkok Airways is planning to start Indian operations by connecting two cities in summer next year. The airline is evaluating cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor on the sidelines of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau’s road show which was held recently in Mumbai, Chulin Kocharoen, Deputy Sales Director, Bangkok Airways said, “We are currently evaluating the feasibility of these four cities and are looking at starting operations in summer 2011. India has a huge potential for business and leisure travel and we also have the availability of aircraft which allows us to add India to our international network.” Bangkok Airways offers private lounge services for both Business and Economy Class passengers at Bangkok, which usually is offered only to Business Class passengers.
