Chennai-based, Barefoot India which specialises in tours to Andaman Islands will primarily focus on eco tours and scuba diving this year. For eco tours, the company is in the process of launching a website www.wildandamans.com and it is expected to go live by next month. It will offer its inbound and domestic travellers the option to take up day trips and over night trips ranging from two days to a week and more where in travellers can explore and do various activities. The activities offered by Barefoot India are snorkeling; kayaking in the mangroves; island visits which includes islands like North Passage Island (Merk Bay Beach), Long Island (Lalji Bay Beach, Village and Littoral forest Trek), Neil Island; and other activities like nocturnal turtle walk, trekking, jungle trails, birding, nature walks, herping and fishing. “The destination has the tropical rainforests, beaches, sanctuaries and lot of other activities to explore under the eco tag.
