Benjamin Braganza appointed as the new Managing Director of GTDC

Benjamin Braganza was recently designated as the new Managing Director of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC). Elvis Gomes, Director, GTDC has been relieved of the additional charge of Managing Director. Talking about Goa’s Tourism focus for the next year, Braganza told TravelBiz Monitor, “GTDC has plans to develop dolphin spotting activities near beaches like Calangute and Baga in Northern Goa. We will also improve infrastructure by constructing new hotels and lodges in the state.” When questioned about the current status of Goa tourism figures, Braganza said, “The state tourism is not doing as bad as it is portrayed by the media. There are cancellations happening but they are very less in numbers, in fact, we have all our rooms booked for the current festive season.”
