New Delhi-based travel management company, Blue Bird Leisure & Holidays Limited, is aiming to have pan-India presence by year-end or early next year. The company is going to expand through the franchise model in various Tier II and Tier III cities of India. Currently operating branch offices in Kolkata and Mumbai, the company also operates franchise outlets in Pune, Indore and Bhopal. It is now looking at the Northern parts of India for expansion.
Talking about expansion plans through the franchise model, Sumit Sethi, Manager - Outbound, Blue Bird Leisure & Holidays Limited said, “We currently have branch offices in three metro cities. But to enhance our network base for the end consumers, we thought of expanding through the franchise model a few years ago. The smaller cities (Tier II and Tier III) in India have more potential for the travel industry in comparison to the metro cities. Today, we operate three franchise outlets and aim to operate few more by year-end. We are keen on entering markets of Punjab (Chadigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiyana), Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Utter Pradesh and other parts of India by year end or early next year.” |
