CII Eastern Region along with DoT, Govt of West Bengal to organise DESTINATION EAST from January 28 – 29, 2010

With an aim to promote the East as a potential tourism hub, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region in association with the Department of Tourism (DoT), Government of West Bengal is going to organise DESTINATION EAST - a two day Conference and Buyer Seller Meet from January 28 – 29, 2010 in Kolkata. The buyers will essentially comprise of delegates from the Asia Pacific, South East Asia, and the Far East, countries. This is being done keeping in mind the connectivity of Asia Pacific, South East and Far East Asia with Kolkata. DESTINATION EAST already has around 35 buyers registered from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. There will be pre fixed business meetings between registered Indian sellers and foreign buyers over one day. DESTINATION EAST will also have FAM tours in East and North East India. CII Eastern Region recently also convened TOURISM EAST 2009 to unveil this destination by attempting to bring together the tourism stakeholders of the East.
