Civil Aviation Minister informs Lok Sabha on ADF collected at Delhi and Mumbai Airports

According to a PIB release, in a written reply in the Lok Sabha yesterday, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel  informed that the Airport Development Fee (ADF) collected by Delhi International Airport Pvt. Limited (DIAL) and Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Limited (MIAL) up to October 2009 has been Rs 323.11 crore and Rs 119.75 crore respectively.

The funds collected through the levy will be utilised only for construction of such aeronautical assets which will be transferred by the Joint Venture Companies to Airports Authority of India (AAI) upon completion of lease period. An independent regulatory authority – Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) will decide upon any issues regarding the revision of these fees.
