Cleartrip.com plans to supply hotel inventory to intl websites & GDS companies

Cleartrip.com is planning to diversify its current scale of online business by supplying its hotel content to international websites and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) companies. The company currently holds a total hotel inventory of 1, 50,000 hotels across the globe including inventory of 5,000 Indian hotels. Cleartrip.com could partner with an international website to supply its total inventory thus enabling the website to take or use hotel inventory relevant to them.

On the GDS front, the portal is looking at supplying hotel inventory with an API (Application Programming Interface) connection, for which active discussions are on. “We intend to supply our hotel inventory to international websites and GDS companies as it will allow us to expand our current scale of business. We are in talks with potential partners. However, we are not in a position to divulge names as discussions are at a nascent stage.
