With an aim to further enhance its presence in India, the India division of Club Méditerranée commonly known as Club Med (the French Corporation of Vacation Resorts) will launch the Club Med Specialist Programme for travel trade in the country. The Programme for the first batch of travel trade agents will commence in Mumbai on January 21, 2010 followed by Pune on January 22, 2010. The Programme will be conducted offline and Club Med India will bring senior members to train and educate agents on the Club Med Brand.
Plans are also afoot to provide a certification to agents who complete this training module. As per the company, which started operations in India in 2008, it has already posted a growth of 210 per cent in revenue for the period from November 1, 2009- April 30, 2010.
