Indian business channel, CNBC Awaaz, in association with Jammu & Kashmir Tourism and J&K Bank, recently presented the sixth edition of CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards’12 in Srinagar. The awards recognise and felicitate luminaries from the Indian travel and tourism industry who have excelled on the global tourism platform. Also, CNBC Awaaz hosted their award initiative in the state to reinforce and glorify Jammu & Kashmir’s resurgence as a favoured destination in the global tourism radar. The event was presided over by Ghulam Nabi Azad, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; Dr K Chiranjeevi, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Tourism, Government of India; Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K); and Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Tourism & Culture, Government of J&K. |
