Come to South America which is a destination management group, has identified India as a potential market and started initiatives to promote South America as a new destination for Indian travellers. This information was divulged by Sidney V Linhares, Director, Del Bianco, one of the four member companies under Come to South America, to the local tour operators and travel agents visiting the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) that concluded in New Delhi last week. Linhares said that the organisation changed its promotional focus from traditional markets to Asian countries where India is one of the potential markets for promoting inbound tourism as economy in India is growing rapidly.
It also plans to tie-up with Kesari Tours for promoting South America in India. For this, the organisation is planning to provide various packages, aimed at customised and individual traveller preferences. Currently, it has tie-ups with several travel companies in India such as TCI, Thomas Cook and The Wanderers for promoting tourism in South America.
