| | The only news one hears or reads nowadays is of declining stock markets, cash crunch or cost effective measures being adopted by various companies and this is not just restricted to travel. In times like these many global reports, however, state that Indian consumers will spend on a cautious note, which was evident from the recent festive season be it Diwali or Dusherra. It has also been mentioned that Asia overall will stand to gain as travellers will look at affordable and value for money destinations. This can also be substantiated with the recent reports which revealed that the inbound market is not witnessing a decline and domestic tourism will also witness an increase. The question that comes to mind is, what is India doing to encash on this situation? What cost effective measures are we putting forth to our clients to keep our profit margins stable?
In the past few months, there have been several talks about niche tourism particularly high end travel. Well, though it is a high value segment it is yet a small one as compared to the upper middle class.
