Italy- based Costa Cruises, part of Carnival Corporation is soon going to start promoting Asian itineraries in Indian and Asian countries. The cruise liner is going to promote destinations like Hong Kong, Singapore, Tianjin and Shanghai in the Indian market by January 2010. With the launch of its new vessel – Costa Deliziosa (to be launched by end of January next year), the cruise liner is aiming to increase Indian passenger figures in the coming years on Asian waters. The new ship will offer itinerary to Dubai – Mumbai – Maldives and Egypt – Yemen – Oman – Dubai. The ship will dock in Mumbai overnight as one of the port of call during its inaugural cruising.
Providing an insight about the Asian itineraries, Nancy D'Almeida, General Manager – Cruises & Domestic, Thomas Cook India Ltd said, “Costa 2010 itineraries offer packages to Far East, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shanghai, Japan, Dubai, Maldives and India. All the packages will be offered by Costa Luminosa and the new Costa Deliziosa. Apart from this, Costa Romantica will be deployed for the first time to sail in the Indian Ocean. |
