Pune-based CruiseBay, the cruise division of Uniglobe Odessey Travel, is now focusing on having a pan-India presence by expanding its branch offices and franchise outlets. Currently operating out of Pune, the company will appoint its first franchise in Ahmedabad- CruiseBay Lounge- this month. The division is aiming to cover all Tier I and Tier II cities through the franchise model and later all metro cities through their branch offices.
Talking about the new franchise model, Nikhil Thakurdas, CEO, Uniglobe Odessey Travel said, “Instead of tagging them as franchise partners, we will call CruiseBay City Partners. We will appoint City Partners in major Tier I and Tier II cities of India. Since metro cities are too big to focus on right now, we have first started our operations in Tier I city like Pune. We will later focus on metro cities.” However, Thakurdas denied disclosing any further information about other confirmed City Partners (apart from Ahmedabad).
