| | The District Administration of Kurukshetra in Haryana will provide an insurance cover to ten lakh pilgrims who will visit to take a holy dip on the occasion of solar eclipse. News agency UNI quoted Narinder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kurukshetra saying that lakhs of devotees are expected to reach Kurukshetra on the night of July 21, 2009 for the solar eclipse that will take place from 5.30am to 7.25am on the 22nd of this month.
Giving a brief account of arrangements made by the District Administration, Singh said about 300 buses of Haryana Roadways would ply on different routes besides ten special trains to be run on the occasion by the Railway authorities. He said 1,100 temporary toilets had been put up and sanitation would be maintained at all costs. Adequate arrangements for potable water have also been made and Food and Supply authorities will ensure the quality of food.
