The Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala will be participating at the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT), which will be held from the 18th-21st of this month at Expocentre, Moscow in Russia. At the Exhibition, Kerala Tourism will focus on promoting backwaters and Ayurveda. It will have 15 sq. metre stall at the exhibition. Along with Kerala Tourism, other three private parties from the tourism industry of Kerala such as Kadavu Resorts, Thomas Holiday and Resorts and Somatheeram Ayurvedic Beach Resort will also be attending the exhibition. In addition to this, Kerala currently is more active with numerous temple festivals. This month, Kerala will witness several temple festivals such as Thirunakkara Arattu, Malanada Kettukazhcha, Attuvela Mahotsavam and Kodungalloor Bharani. Further, it will also organise road shows and consumer shows in 13 cities across India to promote domestic tourism. The road shows will take place from March to July 2009. |
