DTCM and TAT participate in TAAI Tourism Council Workshop in India

Dubai’s Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) participated in the TAAI Tourism Council Workshop held in Bengaluru and Chennai recently. The workshop was attended by travel agents looking beyond the customary model of commissions, for new revenue streams. Also present at the workshop were senior Managing Committee members of TAAI and other tourism boards.

Commenting on the association with TAAI, Sonalee Vaz, TAT Mumbai Representative said, “To further enhance the level of knowledge of Amazing Thailand's unique offerings, we are pleased to work closely with TAAI in expanding the level of product knowledge amongst our travel fraternity partners in Bengaluru and Chennai. Under the able guidance and direction of Khun Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Director, TAT New Delhi we have been able to promote several new areas of Thailand beyond Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. Increasingly travel agents and tour operators have been looking at new areas such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Hua Hin.”
