DTI focuses on leisure, MICE and wedding segments for its outbound operations

Offers destinations in South Asia and Far East, targets agents in Delhi and Mumbai initially

Diethelm Travel India (DTI), a Destination Management Company (DMC) and part of Diethelm Travel Group (DTG) recently commenced outbound operations. The initial focus of the company is leisure, MICE and wedding segments offering destinations in South Asia and Far East like Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia etc. The company has adopted a Business to Business (B2B) model in the initial phase of operations and is primarily targeting agents in Delhi and Mumbai and later focus on Bengaluru and Chennai. Subsequently, the company will target agents in Tier II cities and also focus on direct selling to end consumers. DTI was set up in 2007 with core focus on inbound tourism.    

Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor, Tekla Maira, Managing Director, Diethelm Travel India said, “India has a lot of potential in the outbound segment, especially MICE, as nowadays large number of Indian and multi-national companies are frequently organising their meetings and conferences in foreign countries.”
