| | The annual travel show of South Africa - INDABA 2010 kick started today at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban. The four-day event with theme of FIFA World Cup 2010 is expected to cross last year’s attendance figure of 12000. Nearly 2,000 exhibitors are participating this year at INDABA, which is the prime trade show for South African travel suppliers to showcase their product offerings and interact with international buyers. The highlight of this year’s show is the launch of Durban's new tourism trail in the Inanda region, where Mahatma Gandhi lived and developed his ideas of passive resistance. Durban with its large inventory of rooms and convention facilities has won the contract to host INDABA for the next three years.
Talking about the event this year, Thandiwe January-McLean, CEO, South African Tourism said, "This year, FIFA World Cup 2010 will be our focus.
