| | According to a report in etravelblackboard.com, Emirates has announced that it is planning to add additional services to Bangkok, Sydney, Manila and Jakarta. Effective December 2009 to January 2010, the airline will introduce 17 more flights per week, representing 13 per cent growth in seat capacity.
Effective December 2, 2009, Emirates will add a fourth daily service to Bangkok and a third daily service to Sydney, while from December 6, 2009 the airline will add an additional service to Jakarta. The two additional services to Manila will also be added from December this year, which will operate on Thursdays and Mondays. The airline said it had chosen to add more services to Manila and Jakarta due to import and export reasons, while services to Bangkok were aimed to support Thailand’s economic recovery.
