ENIT to work closely with ITOCI to promote Italy as mono destination in India

Focusing on promoting wine, honeymoon, Bollywood and wedding segment

ENIT - Italian State Tourist Board is looking at working closely with Indian Tour Operators Council for Italy (ITOCI) to promote Italy as a mono destination in the Indian market. ITOCI was formed last year with eight council members comprising of Kuoni, Thomas Cook, Cox & Kings, Ezeego1.com, Kesari, Mercury, Sahara Global and Cosmos and Globus with ENIT being the ninth and a permanent member of ITOCI. The objective of ITOCI is to come together on a common platform and collectively discuss strategies and issues prevailing in the industry in order to promote Italy as a mono destination in India. Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor, Salvatore Ianniello, Representative India, ENIT said, “The council was formed mid-last year and it helps in formulating strategy to promote the destination keeping in mind each individual company's strategy and market segments.”
