eWaterways to launch a dedicated cruise information website

UK-based eWaterways will launch a dedicated website for cruises. The website will be launched in UK this month and in France in 2009. The company is also looking to launch the product in Germany and other countries across Europe. The website, which is yet to be named, will bring together all the cruise boats across the world on one integrated platform. It will provide in depth information on various aspects of the cruise boats and will be a one stop shop for the consumer and the travel trade.

“There are more than 10,000 cruise boats across the globe but it is very difficult to get authentic information on these boats. This website will be an online aggregator of all the information that is available on these cruise boats,” said Daniela Wagner, Chief Executive, eWaterways. The product and marketing content on the websites will be localised to suit the tastes and preferences of each country. The company will also introduce a rating system on the website for the various cruise products on offer.
