Exploring Brand India at ATM 2009

The forthcoming Arabian Travel Mart (ATM) 2009 will be the ideal platform to showcase unique and potential areas of Incredible India to the Middle East Region. Anita Jain highlights segments such as Medical, Wellness, Wildlife etc.

As a growth strategy for this year, major tourist offices along with airlines and travel suppliers around the world are focusing on domestic and short haul destinations. The focus is to attract markets that are not badly affected by the global upheavals. In this regard, India, China and Middle East are in the spotlight. Travel suppliers are looking to work closely with operators from these countries to increase their business volumes and airlines are tapping in to increase frequency between these countries and their home land to increase load factors.

Apart from India and China, the Middle East is the next cash rich region to tap into for inbound business. The tourism industry of the Middle East is growing with not just a focus on the UAE but also surrounding regions.
