Exploring Southern India

India as a destination is diverse which gives ample opportunities for states to join hands and promote tourism offerings together in order to expand the exposure of each state in India. Each of the Southern states are unique in their offerings, which if tapped can be promoted as ‘The Southern region of India’ offering a varied mix of history, heritage, culture, Ayurveda, Medical Tourism, Ecotourism, Adventure Tourism, Beach and Cruise Tourism etc. The Southern India is also well connected by airlines, road and railways. These reasons are quite sufficient for promoting Southern India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh) as one region.

With four states to promote, the Southern India has immense potential. The region offers opportunity for charter and helicopter operations for special interest groups and high net worth individuals. There are different circuits that can be explored like for instance starting travel from Chennai by covering different destinations of Tamil Nadu like Mahabalipuram, Pondichery, Madurai and further clubbing it with Kerala or promoting destinations that are close by in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
