The first Fairmont hotel in India will start its full-fledged operations in Jaipur from mid-February 2012. The hotel, which is located eight kilometres from the city, on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, is built in traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Palace style architecture. It will commence operations with 200 guest rooms and other facilities, including restaurants, a spa, a convention centre, etc.
Atul Lall, General Manager, Fairmont Jaipur said, “We will add 10 luxury villas by October 2012, and another 45 guest rooms by early 2014 to become a 255-room hotel. We hope to conduct large weddings and conventions and meetings in our hotel. Our vision is to have eight to ten Fairmont hotels in India.”
The hotel will have 60,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, which is said to be the largest meeting and convention space offered by any hotel in Northern India. The hotel, which is spread over eight acres, has open areas to host events where it can accommodate 1,000 people. |
