'Flight Shop' partners with Singapore Airlines to boost tourism from India

Flight Centre Limited, Australia’s biggest travel services provider, which operates in India under the ‘Flight Shop’ banner, has entered into an agreement with Singapore Airlines to boost tourism from the Indian subcontinent. This tie-up is a part of the airlines’ celebrations for its double daily service to Delhi from September 1, 2008. Under this agreement, the two parties have jointly announced ‘Singapore Week,’ which started yesterday and will continue till August 31, at all Flight Shop outlets. The greatest bonanza of the ‘Singapore Week’ is the lucky draw whose winner will be awarded a free return ticket to Singapore. Apart from this, the first ten people booking flights to Singapore, during this period, will get a gift voucher worth Rs 5000 for their next international trip.

Speaking about this venture, Gaurav Luthra, Country Head, Flight Shop, India said, “Our alliance with Singapore Airlines is aimed to boost outbound tourism from India and offer affordable international holiday packages to our clients at a time when inflation has led to a slowdown in international travel, especially among the middle-income group.”
