Galileo, the leading Global Distribution System (GDS) in India, recently became the first GDS to provide Indian budget hotel, Bed and Breakfast (B&Bs) and Guesthouse content for the travel agents. The solution known as ‘Galileo Budget Hotels’ (GBH) will link over 10,000 hotels, B&Bs and Guesthouses by 2012. Galileo already has a market leadership in the domestic and international star category and luxury hotels with over 83,000 hotels currently available to 12,000 travel agency branches and terminals. This inventory can be searched and booked from the existing single window of the Galileo GDS, and does not require any additional cost.
GBH inventory will enable its customers access to hundreds of small to midsized hotel providers (one, two and three star category), guest houses, heritage properties, homestays and camps in real-time via the Inventory Management Systems of Intech Hotel Solutions (IHS).
