Germany registers 22.4 per cent growth in India visitor arrivals from Jan-May 2011

‘India Pool” conducts sales activities and road-shows across India

During the period from January-May 2011, Germany saw a steep increase of 22.4 per cent visitor overnights, 2,05,991 were registered over the same period last year. In 2010, Germany received 455655 overnight depicting an increase of 26.2 per cent over 2009. The German National Tourist Office ‘India Pool” has undertaken aggressive initiatives to promote Germany as a preferred leisure destination for Indians. To enhance Destination Germany’s presence in India, the Pool is conducting sales activity weeks/ road-shows in various metros across India.

During the current visit to Bengaluru and Kolkata, the delegation is showcasing the latest updates, highlights and attraction for Indian travellers.
