The Great India Tourism Planners and Consultants (GITPAC) International, in association with a Delhi-based agency, Data Masion, has planned to conduct a continuous tourism statistics survey for the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala. GITPAC International bagged the contract from DoT, Kerala recently in a national level bidding. The survey contract has been awarded for three years. The survey will focus on counting number of tourists visiting Kerala and quality measures. It will collect tourists’ profile, age, taste, expenditure, expectation and feedback. Earlier, DoT survey focused only on tourist figures but it will now concentrate on quality measures also, informed U V Jose, Chief Operation Officer, GITPAC International. According to Jose, the survey is likely to start by next month. The survey will also list feedback about Kerala from major tourism service providers based in India.
