Globalite Group focusing on Indian market to increase tourist flow to Turkey

Plans to work closely with travel agents selling Turkey

Turkey-based ground handler Globalite Group is now focusing on the Indian market to increase tourist flow into the country and get business. The company's representatives were present at TTF-OTM Fair (February 7-9, 2009) held in Mumbai promoting its brand in the Indian market. To increase sales, the company is looking at working closely with few travel agents and tour operators in India. Ihsan Aykol, Managing Director, Globalite Group said, “As per the tourist inbound figures, India is one of the growing markets for Turkey. Since, European and USA markets are slow due to economic downturn, we thought of tapping the emerging markets like India and China which are going to be huge in coming years.”

Globalite Group is open to partner with any travel company, which is focused on selling Turkey as a destination to Indian travellers. The company is already in talks with various tour operators from New Delhi and Mumbai to receive Indian tourists in Turkey. Aykol said, “We spoke to tour operators like Thomas Cook, Cox & Kings, Raj Travels, Kesari, etc. We are planning to have close ties with few of them so as to receive
