| | Gujarat Tourism is currently in the process of drafting a new Tourism Policy which is will be released in the next two months. The Policy will encourage public private partnerships to a considerable level making it easy for investors, as well as it will offer a single window clearance facility for tourism development. Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor on the sidelines of a press conference held yesterday in Mumbai to promote the upcoming International Kite Festival (IKF), Vipul Mittra, Secretary Tourism, Gujarat said, “The Policy is under drafting stage at the moment and we are looking at releasing the same in the next two months. The Policy will enable us to develop the tourism potential much more efficiently.” The state tourism department is also open to venture funds for development of tourism projects like construction of hotels and resorts.
